In the immediate vicinity

There is Vazon Bay, the coast road, a small strip of common ground and then there are our Self Catering apartments,
literally less than a stones throw from the sea on the West Coast of Guernsey.
Considered by many to be the best
beach on Guernsey, Vazon offers the best surf in Guernsey and when the tide is right the centre section of the beach
swarms with enthusiasts. Happily, this still leaves plenty of room for the less daring to swim, belly board, rock pool, barbeque
and sunbathe.
In high season, a surf school sets up on the common ground - offering tuition, summer surf school
( much appreciated by many of our guests ) and hire of boards and wetsuits.
When the tide is right, about once
a month, the sand racing enthusiasts bring their old bangers down to the beach and hurl round at ridiculous speeds - a sight
worth seeing!
The Fort Hoummet headland offers a pleasant gentle walk of about 20 minutes, ideal for an after dinner
stroll or morning wake up. Popular too with local fisherman as a good bass mark ( as is the beach.) For those interested in
history, a world war II bunker has been restored along with a shrine decorated entirely with shells.
A brisk 15
minutes along the coast road brings you to Cobo - with its popular pub, hotel, Cobo tea-rooms ( reputed to serve the
best crab sandwich on Guernsey ) Cobo village centre, supermarket, bank, surgery etc.
Getting further afield is
easy, with bus stops located right outside the apartments - a ride on the no 7 all around the island is a lovely way to get
an overview of the island, or the no 3 will take you directly into St Peter Port - Guernsey's only 'town.' All
for a flat fare of 60p!
